SURE! Everything can be done via e-mail or phone. Website proofs will be e-mailed, along with links, content, and a calendar to follow, to insure the website is completed by the scheduled date.

The timescale of a website design project is often dictated by the client. If you have a deadline in mind we will make every effort to meet it for you. The most common delay in the creation and completion of a new website is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to us by the client. For most projects, we try to work within the 4-6 week time-frame.

Like anything creative, designing a great website takes time. It can take from a few weeks to a few months (or more) to completely design and launch the new website, depending on the project. In general though, how soon your website work can be done done depends on a number of things, such as:

  • The size of your website
  • The complexity of your design
  • Any advanced features you need
  • When your content is ready
  • Our current client design schedule
  • Your timely feedback and input on our work.

Our customer care unit also put it this way: we have all the content (text and images), it should take 3-6 weeks for us to design and build a typical, small scale website of 6-10 pages. The most time consuming phase of any web project is collecting and writing the content.

Our prices depend on many factors. To get a better idea of the cost of what you need, give us a quick phone call at +2348112799629. We’ll ask a few questions about your project, what features and interactivity you’ll need, who will handle content development, whether or not you’d like to sell online. After this short discussion, we should be able to give you a ballpark number. If you’re still interested, we’ll be happy to develop a comprehensive proposal that outlines the scope, process and costs.

There are nine steps in our development process

  1. Discovery– If the project is a rebuild, we review your current content and make further recommendations for improvements. If it’s a new site, we start by discussing the subjects and functionality you envisage for your site and develop an outline for you.
  2. Content– You compile all the content for the website, including all text and images.
  3. Preliminary Design– We create a home page concept including colors, fonts, image style and layout.
  4. Organization– When we have received all content in its final version, we review it to determine the best way to organize the information. The structure of the site is based on this organizational scheme and must be approved by you.
  5. Design Revision– After reviewing the initial design, you have the opportunity to request changes.
  6. Implementation– Once we’ve received your approval on the design, we move on to implementation. This is where the approved design becomes concrete and where we add site-specific features.
  7. Page Content– When we have all the content that will be included on the site and an approved design, we will enter all the data.
  8. Testing– We run through a final set of tests to be sure that everything is functional. You have an opportunity at this time to test the site as well.
  9. Launch– Once we have your final approval, we launch the site. The marks the end of the project.

Do you offer web hosting services?

Over the years, we’ve helped businesses improve customer service, market their products, and attract customers. Functionality requests range from basic to advanced. Our team takes the time to get to know your industry, organization, and competitors to ensure your site supports all of your goals.

Yes. Every site we have built since over ten years has been mobile-friendly. The method we use to achieve this is known as responsive design, which ensures that the site works well on a wide variety of screen sizes, from smartphones and tablets through to small and large desktop monitors.

The short answer: Our prices depend on so many factors, it’s impossible to say in one sentence. Avoid any web developer who can answer this question without a long talk.

The long answer: To get a better idea of the cost of what you want to build, give us a quick phone call. We’ll ask you a few questions about the nature of the site, what sort of interactivity the site will have, your graphic design needs, etc. Then we’ll be able to give you a ballpark figure. If you’re still interested, we’ll come to your place of business and come up with a firm quote.

If you talk to a web developer who gives you an instant quote, run away! Imagine telling someone you want a car and having them immediately giving you a price for that car. Any fair and honest car salesperson would want to know the make, model and engine type of the car you’re looking to purchase, right? The same goes for building web sites. Depending on the features you want for your web site, the cost can be anywhere from a few thousand dollars to a few million.

Absolutely. Our goal is to please you. We can’t do that without your input. If there are other sites with a design style that you would like to emulate, we can do that. If you have a logo or brand collateral that you’d like us to work around, that’s no problem. We’ll be sure your new site will be a consistent and integral part of your overall brand. But just one thing to note: if you the price of the website package you chose from us to design for you is low in price and you eventually show us a bigger site of a higher cost to emulate; then it cannot work. The cost of a website affects how it would look. Although, not in most cases though.

We prefer, and recommend, a full custom website design that fits your needs and goals like a glove. However, If you have a limited budget that prohibits custom website design, we offer a range of other solutions including, but not limited to, theme or template modification.

You can expect a thorough and sophisticated (but mostly painless) initial needs assessment. We’ll ask questions and discuss your wants, needs and goals. We hope to glean enough information to offer you a choice of web design, branding and marketing solutions that fit your budget and timeline.

All our websites are created with search engines in mind and the website design is compliant with search engine guidelines. It is a good idea for your website to be re-evaluated in time as over a period of time the search engines do alter their rules and algorithms and you will want to be certain that your website is kept up to date and complies with new rules etc. To gain maximum visibility by the search engines, we highly recommend utilizing our comprehensive SEO services.

Every website our website company designs is laid out and looks completely different than any of other websites. Without actually designing your site we can’t tell you exactly what it will look like, but we can determine what it will feature. We work with you to determine what you like and don’t like in designs and use your feedback in our design concepts. Once your design is created, our website design company will work with you to determine if anything needs to be changed and will make as many changes as necessary to get your design perfect!

The project starts with a 80% upfront deposit to commence the initial phase of the design and move into programming. Once we have completed and fulfilled our scope, the final 20% is collected and your website is then scheduled for launch.

We work with a broad range of company types [small start-ups, large corporations, nonprofits, B2B, B2C and more] across many business industries [technology, real estate, food, apparel, health + beauty, camps, travel, finance, arts, fair trade, and more.]

This varies based on the complexity of your project. There are several factors to be considered in determining how long it will take for a website to be fully functional. It’s usually driven by the client. If you have a deadline in mind, we will work with you to make it happen within the stipulated time but it attracts an extra charge. Generally, a custom web design takes 2-3 stages to get the design that matches your objectives and project the right brand image you want. The developmental stages usually determine how fast or slow it takes to come up with what the client want. One major factor that could sabotage the fast delivery of a site is the endless waiting on the client to provide us the website content (i.e. text, images, video). Usually it takes 4 weeks from the start of the design process to site completion. A complex design takes approximately 90 days to create, while our E-commerce (online store) websites takes approximately 120 days to create. The time varies for completing web project, depending on the design’s complexity. BrainPath Consults ensures to meet the timeframe for the design and development of the website.

No and Yes. We only support websites that we have fully built or only websites built with WordPress. We have this policy so that we can 100% stand behind everything that we craft. There are issues of liability of multiple programmers touching the same code over time. The only solution we can offer is for us to re-design your existing website from scratch.

Totally depends on the size and scope of the website project and our capacity at the time. We are one of the regions most in-demand web design agency, so our availability varies. Generally speaking our sites can take 30 days to up to 4 months, depending on the size and functionality. Need it quick? Ask us about our rapid development service.

Totally depends. You or your team can provide the copy or assets, or we can charge you and create them. Very often it is a joint effort, but suffice it to say, we will advise on a content strategy for your website that aligns with your web marketing strategy. We provide copywriting, photography, blog writing and illustration. Content is still king!

Yep, about 40% of our clients are outside of the highly esteemed Lagos, Nigeria. We serve and have clients outside Lagos, Nigeria. We serve international clients in USA, UK, Canada, Denmark, Ghana, Liberia, South Africa…etc. Contact us to discuss your project.

Take a moment and review our website portfolio. We have a specific design style, so you need to make sure what we consider to be beautiful fits within your thinking as well. If it doesn’t, do consider us for your project. There are oodles and oodles of WordPress consultants and designers available and you will find one who is a fit if you look.

Absolutely not. If the client is not a good fit, the opportunity is not quoted. Creating a new website is a big endeavor, so the website designer and their client need to have synergies for the project to launch successfully. The same is true for customizations of existing themes. If we don’t feel that we’re a good fit or that WordPress isn’t a good fit, we’ll quickly tell you so.

The time limit of any web assignment is normally dictated by the client. If you have any time limit in mind we will attempt to assemble it for you. The main general delay in the making of a website is waiting for the content of the pages to be sent to us by the client.

The choice of domain name depends on how you plan to use it. In most cases, it makes sense to choose one that is easy to pronounce and spell if you will be telling people about it over the phone. Above all, you should choose a name that is memorable and not confusing.

You need a domain name, a Web server and a professionally developed website. You also need the website to be uploaded to your host and promoted to search engines. BrainPath Consults can help you with all aspects of getting a website up and running.

This depends on how much information you want to be displayed on your website. If you have many products and services, then it will be advantageous to have a database built into your design but it attract additional charges which we will discuss this with you in detail to know if you can bear it. If a database is advised, we will explain exactly how it will work. We will tailor your website design to suit your specific requirements.

If you have a small website of just a few pages and will only wish to make changes very infrequently, then usually it is more cost effective simply to ask.

Your visitors will see some things differently depending on their browser, screen resolution settings and their computers. We design sites with that in mind and preview them in several browsers and resolution settings before publishing. As technology evolves, all websites need to be re-evaluated.

Over the years, we’ve helped businesses improve customer service, market their products, and attract customers. Functionality requests range from basic to advanced. Our team takes the time to get to know your industry, organization, and competitors to ensure your site supports all of your goals.

As a rule your home page should not take longer than 8 seconds to open. If it takes longer than that you can risk losing visitors. People on the web are usually wanting instant gratification. Graphics should be optimized to load quickly. You can save your slower loading pages for after you get the visitors attention. Your site should reflect your target audience’s wants and needs. Your website should be easy to navigate so that your visitors don’t get lost.

All the web pages developed by us are optimized to load quickly. We move all common code, i.e., code that is loaded in each page, into a separate page which is loaded by the browser only once and cached for the rest of the page. We remove all unused HTML tags, white space so that page size is reduced and loads quickly. We optimize all graphics to have best quality at the lowest possible size to load quickly. If the website is hosted on our web servers, we also use server compression that decreases download time by an order of magnitude.

Absolutely! We can study your current website, analyse it, discuss your goals, and redesign your website according to your requests.

  • Ongoing Maintenance Plan: Sign up for one of our ongoing maintenance plans, and you’ll receive a discount on our standard rates. You may also prefer to signup for our Annual maintenance plan.

Websites are quoted as a fixed bid project. The cost structure is based on the package selected, the complexity of functionality, the size of the website, and the need for marketing support such as search engine optimization, copywriting, and social media integration. Every project is unique and we try to make sure our pricing is based on your specific needs and not what we think the market will tolerate.

The site needs to be marketed on an ongoing basis. Fresh information also needs to be put into the site to keep it up-to-date and interesting. If you sign-up for the maintenance contract, we will update the website as and when it is needed and content is provided by you.

You also need to monitor the website traffic, analyse the keywords that are being used to reach your website, where and what time of the day the traffic is good or bad and act on it to improve them. You need to monitor any emails or requests that are generated by the visitors of your website and reply them as soon as possible. Early replies get good image about your business.

Ongoing Costs

Website hosting, email hosting and the domain registration renewals are the minimum annual costs for any website. If it is a e-commerce website which accepts data via secure forms, you need to renew SSL certificate on yearly basis, unless you purchase it for multiple years. If your website is very popular and exceeds the allocated bandwidth, there may be additional bandwidth fee.

Some website owners prefer to market their site more proactively, make regular updates, send email newsletters etc. Ongoing costs depend on exactly how you wish to use your website.

  1. Initial website meeting to discuss your company, goals, pages included in your website package, and overall design.
  2. You will receive a website proof within one week of the initial meeting.
  3. Discuss any changes you would like to see made for the design of the website.
  4. Finalize website proof and the building process begins!
  5. Follow test-link and preview your website, let us know of any changes that need to be made, and the site goes LIVE!
